In other news, I'm in a mood to make wash (or dish, depending on one's preference) cloths. At least now I have a reason to use my cotton yarns.

Wha hoo! Yesterday I finished the body of the coat and today I finished the first section of one sleeve, lol. At this rate, I may actually get one sleeve completely finished before the end of February, haha.

Once upon a time...
Yeah, long time since my last post. I had some major computer problems for MANY months and then finally bought another computer earlier this month. However, right before I bought my new computer I managed to lose the cord to my digital camera so...slight problem there in the way of updating pictures.
Anywho, I'm still working on the Coat of Colors. I have problems with my right wrist and recently that really flared up and set me back a bit on my knitting. As for actual progress, I am working on the very last section of the "sweater body." Once I finish that (hopefully tonight), then I can begin to work on the sleeves. After the sleeves comes the collar(s), after the collar(s) comes weaving in loose ends (I'll probably do some of that while working on the sleeves), sewing the edging...and then finally the zipper! Hey, I might actually finish it before hitting the one year mark, rofl!

I've been thinking about this for many months now...
Earlier this year I bought (more like I'm renting for 1 year) the domain www.FierceDesigners.com . I was doing a project for a business class and came up with this whole complex idea that would be called FierceDesigners.com, and I even went ahead and bought the domain because I thought I would actually make it happen. I came across some complications, and also realized that it would be too time consuming as well as a hassle so I felt the plan abandoned and came up with a new idea for my project.
This domain has been pretty much abandoned for all of these months (I've even had it for sale but no takers). I have several blogs altogether but two in particular that are closely related. Anywho, this is what's going to take place, from now on (well at least until my domain expires) all of my would-be postings on here and on my bead blog are going to be posted on FierceDesigners.com. This will most-likely be a temporary thing since I doubt I'll renew the domain next year...but it'll make things easier for me (and hopefully for you all) to keep track of. I'll leave this blog as-is but I'm not planning on updating it during that time (and I know that I lack updating this one too often).

I'm still knitting away on the coat but in the meantime I have begun a new little project. I've decided to start working on a little scenery thing. It's something that my imagination can go wild with, haha. You can check out http://miniatureparty.blogspot.com for more infor and updates on it in the future. :)
Here's a little picture of my scenery's future inhabitants' heads and limbs amde out of polymer clay, lol.

Knitting Update
I've still been working on the Coat whenever I get a chance. I feel pretty good about my progress so far, lol.

Yeah...it's slowly coming along. At least it's coming along a lot more smoothly than most of my school projects! Not to mention, it's a lot more fun than all of those school projects that I had!
I took this pic about a week ago of what I had done so far...
And then Earlier today I took this pic of my progress...

!
I haven't been able to knit as much as I would like because I'm still working on a final project for school (barf). Though I must say (and I will probably be saying this a lot and quite often) that I am learning soooo much about knitting from working on the coat pattern. I would also like to throw in that I'm still working on the very beginning as well as looking ahead and knitting up small sample pieces of the various parts/sections of the coat with extra yarn and needles, I feel pretty good about the thing for the most part...well 3/4 of it anyway. There's about 1/4 that looks kind of tricky to me but I'll get through it. Heck, I still have a lot to learn about knitting. Yeah, I'll make it through to the finish, haha.

Newest Project!!!
Wow it's been a while since my last post...
Anywho, I came across this pattern on Etsy.com called "Angela's Coat of Many Colors" (pictured below) by angelacatirina and fell in love.
Anywho, I came across this pattern on Etsy.com called "Angela's Coat of Many Colors" (pictured below) by angelacatirina and fell in love.

The only problem was that it is a knitting pattern...and I don't knit. Well, a few years ago I finally figured out how to do the basic knit and purl but never did much with it and ended up forgetting everything. But after seeing this pattern I decided that I was going to relearn how to knit!!!
So to bring this all up to date, I bought the pattern, began reteaching myself how to knit (thanks to a couple of books), bought some more yarn and needles, and now I'm working on the first part of the coat! Yayness!!!
This coat is going to be one heck of a learning experience, lol. But I'll do my best and try to overcome the possible future struggles that I might have no matter how frustrating it may get! haha
Yes my friends, this will be interesting...
